Synopsis:
Susan is a university professor in philosophy of literature. You are her university class. Cincinnati by Don Nigro is a brilliant examination of a woman struggling to control her own mind. She is fighting demons only she can see. While Nancy was in rehearsals prior to the Edinburgh premiere of Cincinnati she suffered a grand-mal seizure and was subsequently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Two weeks after her surgery she and her husband flew to Edinburgh to mount the show.

Nancy is very pleased to announce that as of January 2006, she is a three and a half year survivor of brain cancer. She has had wonderful care from her neuro-oncologist Dr. Jeffrey Allen, splendid brain surgery by Dr. David Langer, chemotherapy by Dr. Steven Malamud and his charming associate Carina Schwalbe, and radiation therapy by Dr. Kenneth Hu. Dr. Allen and others will join Nancy after the show for an onstage discussion of the performance and the phenomena of memory and post-surgical trauma.
